Beyond hoping

The Spirit of Radical Faith
Belief thinks it can. Faith does. Radical faith proves it.

So often, I find myself saying, “I believe this will happen,” or, “I believe so.” Yet this kind of belief is not the same as the faith Jesus describes in the Gospels. What we often call “belief” is really closer to hope.  Our hope is a longing for something to be true, not the full assurance that it already is.

But let’s not be discouraged. Hope is the precursor to faith. It opens the door for faith to take root. We just need to be aware of the difference between hoping for something and knowing it is ours through Christ.  Hope that is not exercised (acted upon) will become emaciated and useless. We will end up being disappointed.

I know that I must move beyond trying to believe. Faith must become my reality, a knowing so deeply ingrained that no demon, no logic, no doubt can dissuade me from the promise God has given. When truth becomes part of who you are, you no longer strive to find it—you are it. You become His manifestation on the earth. You become the radical believer, going beyond the limitations of only hoping.

This is the year of the radical believer. God is drawing us into deeper union with Himself so we can understand and operate in the realities of the heavenly realm. (Eph.1:10 NKJV) We are in a season of divine connection.  He is uniting heaven and earth and there will be intense spiritual activity in this divine convergence. We are His co-regents, called to participate in His kingdom work which means He is looking for radical believers.

To simply “believe the Word” is not radical; every Christian claims to do that. What is radical is believing the Word, acting upon it, and having it come to pass.

Ask the Holy Spirit to help you discern the difference between hope and faith.  It will require radical actions, but it will be worth it.  The Kingdom of God will manifest.

Conclusion: Radical faith doesn’t wait for proof; it becomes the proof.
