Another realm

The earthly realm is a mere shadow of the reality the greater and more expansive unseen realm we call the heavenlies. The law of preeminence declares that which came first has the preeminence.  

Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Heaven came first! Heaven is eternal. 

The year 5786 explicitly is calling us to connect with heaven as we walk this earth.  The Hebrew letter vav which is the “and,” with the numerical value six acts as a divine nail, fastening the heavenly to the earthly.  Bridging the two realms. 

When we learn to live in the reality of the Eternal, the things of this world lose their grip and grow strangely dim. But we are invited to walk in both realms.  The old adage, "You are so heavenly minded you are no earthly good" is a lie.   In truth, being heavenly minded is the only way to bring God’s touch to the earth.  It's the only way we can effectively pray, "Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven". (Mat.6:10)

Jesus is looking for a company of believers who are connected to heaven that He can entrust with the authority to bring heaven to earth--to bring light into darkness. 

Jesus gave us the model. While He walked on earth, He also lived in constant communion with the heavenlies.

John 3:13 No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven. 

Prayer challenge
Lord, help me to always stay connected to You and see what see.  In every situation, show me how to give preeminence to Your will, Your realm, and Your perspective.  Let me be among those in whom you can trust to effectively pray "Your Kingdom come! Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven".
