Command Crop Failure to Yesterday’s Seed
“January is not our reset—the Cross is”

As we face the new year many of us are planning our New Year resolutions—our “do better, try harder” commitments.  Yet after about 3 weeks, our resolve wanes. We haven’t changed, or worse, we’ve returned right back to our default habits.

Why? Because we’re trying to change old habits while still living with the results of sowing bad seed. The law of “you reap what you sow” is still in effect. January often becomes our desperate attempt to undo a lifetime of sowing.

Our bodies are failing because, over the years, we’ve sown unhealthy foods, drinks, and habits.  Our souls are depressed and lonely because we’ve sown discord, anger, jealousy, and other carnal sins we once enjoyed. Some of us even carry physical injuries, the evidence of “wild seed” sown from our youthful lusts and bad decisions.

But praise God! We are under a new covenant.

God sowed His Seed—Jesus Christ. He sowed His Holy Seed so we could reap what He has sown. The law of reaping and sowing still stands, but Jesus reaped what we sowed so that we could reap what He sowed. His harvest is the fruit of the spirit.

But first—
We must command crop failure to what we have sown in the flesh.

This power is accessed through the Cross, the power of His blood, His covenant, His Word: AKA His love.

This is the power of Christ's forgiveness-it overwrites, obliterates, and annihilates sin.

God has already factored in all our mistakes and provided forgiveness. Forgiveness is accessed through repentance. When we repent of the seeds we have sown to the flesh, His forgiveness flows like a mighty cleansing river—washing away guilt, shame, and condemnation from our past foolishness. Now our body is ready to be healed, and our soul is renewed.

This January, place your past actions, the seeds sown that led to poor health and an anxious soul on the Cross. Leave them there. Don’t revisit the old field. You’re not stuck with the old harvest.

Now the Lord says, “Command crop failure to what you have sown in the flesh”.  Receive what Jesus has sown.  Reap the Holy Spirit and the power of His resurrection.

Do you know what that looks like?
It looks like a soul that is wholly free—and finally whole.

This is 2026 Renewal: Crop failure!
Take hold of the authority to command crop failure to seeds sown to the flesh and experience renewal according to His will and design.

“We don’t fail at change; we fail to deal with the seed.”
