Who does God choose?

There is greatness in you!

It’s time to activate your Abraham Quotient. The Abraham Quotient is the calling God placed inside you before the foundation of the world. God does not wait for readiness, if He did, nothing in the Kingdom would ever be done. He doesn’t call you because you are the best choice. He calls you because He intends to make you the best.

When we think of Abraham, we often imagine a man who was already righteous, holy, and spiritually mature before God called him. It is easy to assume that God chose him because he was already a great man.

But Abraham did not begin that way.

Abraham did not come from a godly environment. He lived in a culture filled with idolatry. His family worshiped other gods. Yet it was from this unlikely place that God called him to become the father of faith and the beginning of a bloodline through which the promised Seed would come—the One born of a woman who would crush the head of the serpent.

God did not choose Abraham because he was already perfect.

God chose Abraham because He intended to make him into something great.

In this way, we are just like him.

We too were called out of darkness. We too lived lives that could never earn a place in Christ’s bloodline. Yet God does not choose people because they are already the best.  He chooses those He intends to transform.

Your past does not disqualify your calling.

God looks beyond the mistakes and failures of the past and sees the deeper longing of the heart.  He looks for the heart that hates sin and desires Him. The heart that despises sin is already forgiven.

God calls each of us to leave something behind: old patterns, old identities, old places of comfort, and to step forward in faith.

Abraham did not know exactly where he was going. God simply said, “Go.”

Faith begins there: in the unknown. Your Abraham Quotient  begins when you say yes without a map.

If we wait until every step is mapped out with all the rest areas noted, we may never leave at all. But when we move forward in trust, understanding follows obedience. Not the other way around. God seldom gives clarity until we step forward in His call.

So don’t wait until you feel ready.
Don’t wait until you have the whole journey figured out.

Leave what needs to be left behind.

Step into the promise.

There is greatness in you, not because of who you were, but because of what God intends to make you.
